I am search of my mother's family roots. Her name was Rhodie or Roda Tinker born around or about 1913-1917. She had a total of 8 children. My father name was Arthur Johnson. My mother is buried in Hale county. Newbern Alabma. I only remember visiting Uncle Robert Tinker, Aunt Emma Jones who was my mothers sister or her mother, Bob Tinker, Willliam Tinker, Grace Tinker, Ward Tinker called him Uncle Big, Charles Tinker. Uncle Robert I was told was classified as Maletto which means one black parent and one white parent. My mother was fair skinned as well. I was told when other worked in the fields she always stayed stayed in the big house. I read somewhere that Robert Tinker was owned by a plantation owner last name Lewis. Any help from my mothers home town would be greatly appriciated.
