Hi, I am looking for my grandmothers family in Scotland.
Her name is Charlotte Wood born 17 nov 1922 in Leith, Edinburgh. She Married Charles Bech from Faroe Islands and moved to the Faroe Islands.
Her Parents were Charlotte McDougall (Cowell) and William Finnie Wood. The mother was born in 1898+- and died in 1923 and the father died in 1925.
Charlotte McDougall´s parents were Hugh McDougall and Mary McDowell or McDowall(Liston). (the Father Hugh died young and Mary remarried a man called Henry or Harry Cowell. Mary die in 1928.
I have had problems finding information regarding William Finnie Wood. I found his death registration but not the birth registration. I found the marriage registration and his mothers name is not the same on these two registrations documents, the father is the same. The father is William Finnie and the Mother is most likly Elizabeth Paterson. The Parents of William died young and William Finnie then were raised by his grandmother Annie Wood (Paterson) and got the sir name Wood.
My grandmother was also raised by her fathers grandmother Annie (Paterson) Wood and later by Mary/Marion Hamilton Wood Adams who was married to Peter Chisholm Adams. Mary/Marion and Peter Adams got married in 1921. Mary/Marion died in 1940 only 38 years old and Peter in 1980.
She also had a family member/cousin called Ronnie Wood
Is there anyone who can help me figur this out.
