I am looking for any information on Charles J Campbell born in New york, (city I believe) in 1845. He married Mary (Stroub, according to our family bible,) and they had a son Jerome S Campbell born 1866 (the 1870&1880 census says he was born 1868, he later moved to Jacksonville, Florida.) This would be my great and great great grandfathers. Between 1870&80 Mary died and they were living with the family of James and Mary Cosgrove. I have reason to believe that Charles remarried sometime between 1880 and 1886, bore a couple more children and that he worked for the Steinway and Hunters Point RR company. Jerome married Lucy Chase and had a son Charles Albert, (listed as just Albert in the 1900 census.) Charles A. married Ollie Lee Cruse (or Crews), and they lived in the home of Lillie Bell Titus for many years. They had 10 children that lived to adulthood, (including my father,) so there are many branches out there, and I am hoping that somewhere someone might have some information that did not happen to get passed down to my branch of the tree. I would greatly appreciate any help that I may get.
