I am looking for the parish or town in Co. Clare where my ggg granfather, Barnet (Barnie) McQuin, Quinn,Quin born 1817 & ggg grandmother, Ellen, nee Daly, Daley, Daily, born 1811, may have been born, married or lived in the early to mid 19th century. I believe they moved to Barnsley, Yorkshire between about 1848 & 1850.
They had several children, Michael, Bridget, John, Ellen, William, all born in Ireland & Jane born in Barnsley, Yorkshire. I have not been able to find any record of them in Ireland. i discovered they were from Clare on a UK census form. But there was no further detail. I believe thay may have been Presbiteryan as my dad is a Quinn & that is his religion as well as his father before him. Any information would be appreciated as I have hit a brick wall.
