I am looking for information about a John Cole, birth name would have been Kohler/Koehler, born about 1810, in Alsase-Lorraine, France. In the late 1840's, John, his wife Mary, and 4 Children, left France, went to Genoa, Italy, took a boat to the United States, and were in Bracken County, Kentucky, for the 1850 US Census. The 4 children were: Mary, John (born 1836), Joseph (born 1841), and Ann M.
John and his wife Mary/Elizabeth, died between 1880 and 1900.
I could not find (daughter) Mary after the 1850 Census.
John married Sarah Amanda Latham, in 1856/57. In 1870 they moved to Kansas. Starting in Dickinson County, moving to Rice County, and then into Reno County. John died in 1912, and is buried at Sylvia, Reno, Kansas. Sarah died in 1904, and is buried at Sylvia. They had 12 children.
Joseph married a lady named Margaret, from Mason County, KY. They stayed near John and Mary, through 1880. In 1900, Joseph and Margaret had moved to Lewis County, KY, and were found on the Census in Lewis County, until 1920. I found 4 children for them.
I could not find Ann M. after the 1850 census.
