Hello,
I am trying to help my sister, Mary O'Brien, who was born February 24, 1944 at Bessboro Hospital, Cork Ireland. She was put up for adoption. Her mother was Kathleen O'Brien and approximately 15yrs old. Mary's mom was staying at Sacred Heart Convent, Blackrock, Cork, Ireland.
According to Mary's baptism certificate it states Margaret Cronin was her sponsor. We were told Mary had been adopted by my dad's Aunt Kitty Murphy, when she got sick, Mary came to my dads nan, when she was dying Mary was taken in by my dad and mom. There was no legal adoption by my parents because of the age difference. This has turned into a dead end trying to locate possible family members for Mary. Would you please help us with whatever information you can give us.
We sincerely appreciate any information. Mary is now 66yrs old and still asking about her family, we are trying to answer some of her questions for her.
