Seeking my grandmother's family. She was Mary Agnes Welk (Agnes); b.North Dakota d.1981, Salem, Oregon. She married Edwin George Zeigler in Devils Lake, North Dakota. Her parents were John and Martha (Singer) Welk. They were Germans from Russia and came to America bef. 1900. Agnes had sisters: Frances who married Frank Eissenzimmer and lived in Portland, Oregon, and Dorothy; also brothers, Sebastion or Subaston and Joseph (called Uncle Punchy). There were probably other siblings. Does anyone recognize these names?
Grandma told me that Lawrence Welk was her cousin. I know they were all related, but have been unable to find the exact connection. Some of the family still live in the Devils Lake, ND area. Other realations were named Friesen and Eissenzimmer.
