Help me find my mother's family. She was born 26 May 1923 in New York to an American Indian parent. I don't know if one or both were Am. Indian. She said her name was Virginia Jean Hodge or Hodges. She was adopted by a Chicago family Charles Mayer and was on the 1930 census at age 7. We do not know anything else. Can anyone help? Did your grand parents ever talk of giving up a baby girl for adoption? Could we be related??? I want to have roots but I can't find out anything about my mom - can you help?
