Searching for birth mom and birth siblings. I was born on June 27th 1968 in Fergus falls, MN. I was then placed in foster care until I was adopted in September of 1968. My birth mothers madien name is Hansen and I do know that she has two other children, a son and a daughter, now these siblings are in their 30's. I did attempt to locate my birth mother after my son was born ( in 1994) with congenital heart disease, the agency did locate her but she did not want any contact with me...this is when I learned about her other children. I was hoping that someday these children would search for me. It has been 17+ years since that attempt and I have heard nothing. Being adopted comes with all sorts of feelings. I am very greatful for the choice she made as I was adopted into a loving home and have had a great life, but there are always questions. Most days I dont even think about it, but then something will come up( such as a doctors apt. and I can't give them any medical history, or now my daughter,doing a report for school on adoption )when these issues arise, it is very hard to put my feelings aside. There are so my unanswered questions about who I am, why I am the way I am. I dont care for the reasons she gave me up, those were her personal reasons and I do repect them...I just want to know who I am Your personal information will only be used to contact the submitter and will not be saved or used for any other purpose.
