My great grandfather was John Kaylor or Kalor.
We know he was born abt 1871. Found a John Kaylor on 1880 Census Fayette County, WV. Head of house was Henry Thomas age 52 Born in VA.
Dau to Head was Susan Thomas age 24, Born in WV.
Grandson to Head was John Kaler age 8, born in WV
Other to Head was Lewis Write single age 23, born in VA. I am trying to find out if Susan was John's mother or if someone was?
If this is the John we are looking for, he grew up and was deputy sheriff of Raleigh County abt 1900 to 1935 or so.
Also, My grandmother's mother (John's 1st wife)name was Josie (could be Josephine) had 2 daughters by what we believe his first marriage. Their names- Ollie (Olive) Elizabth Kaylor Lloyd
Born: o2 NOV 1890 in Sullivan, WV and Beatrice Kaylor, Born: abt 1901.
