Perry C. Tuttle is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Civil War Veterns Plot, Union County, Iowa. His tombstone reads; 26 Oct 1898, G.A.R. Company E Kansas. I have searched the records in Creston, Iowa for a death certificate, none was found. His last known address was in Livermore, Iowa. Also have searched Humboldt County records for death certificate and none was found. When I asked the Recording Clerk in Creston about death certificate she said his body was probably shipped to Creston. Question: Can anyone think of a reason why his body was sent to Creston? Because his grave is located in a special section, would this have some bearing on the puzzle? There seems to be no other family members recorded in Creston during that time period and there is also no probate records. ANY SUGGESTIONS as to next step in my search?
