John McKinney, b.1811, married Serena Crane in 1834 in Bibb Co, GA. They moved to Macon Co AL area and had children: Martha, Eliza, Henry C, Josiah, Benj F. & Tabitha. Sometime after 1855 they moved to Alachua Co, FL to the town of Archer. Martha married William Gay then later Harrison Slaughter. In 1868 Henry married Martha Kilpatrick in Marion Co, FL. Henry and most of his brothers & sisters settled in Sumter & Hernando Co, FL. Tabitha married Benjamin Wilson. Eliza married Jeremiah Kilpatrick, Joe married Becky Griffin. Henry & Martha’s children were Drayton, J.R.,G.W., Annie, Mary Jane, Joe & Benjamin Franklin. G.W. married Amanda Hayes. Then he and J.R. killed a man and fled to Texas. Drayton was killed in a gunfight. Joe married Charity Green and was killed in a robbery. Annie married Arnold Jerkins & Mary Jane married Sid Lewis. Benjamin Franklin was my grandfather.
