On the 1920 Menifee Co Ky Census in the White Sulfer Precinct William Hood age 49 and wife Lee age 32 were listed with children Richard age 5 and William Jr. age 16 months. Also listed were 4 step-children from Lee's 1st marriage. They were Washington Reffet age 16, Benny Reffet age 12, Elizabeth Reffet age 10 and Allen Reffet age 8.
I've been told that both William & Lee died and the children were separated in to living with other people. William Jr. had to go to an orphanage. If this is true does anyone know where the orphanage was and its name?
I've also been told that William, Lee and William Jr. who was killed in a car accident in 1947 are all buried in the Craig Cemetery located on Hwy 211 in Bath County behind the Upper Salt Lick Church. Is this true?
Also been told there was a daughter born to Wm & Lee named Julie who was raised by a Craig family in Bath County Ky. Where is Julie now?
Are any of Wm & Lee's children now living? How many children did they have?
