looking for information on Ira Young or maybe James Ira Young. Born in Perry Co. Ky. 1883 was in the 1920 census of Laurel Co. Ky He died or was killed Dec 26, 1926 in Letcher co. near Whitsburg. I believe he was a traveling sales man selling eye glasses, and was some times known as Dr. J.I. young.
Ira's fathers name was William P. Young b. 1863 in eastern Ky. His mothers name Margaret Caudill b.1865. She was the daughter of Isom & Juda Caudill. I found Wm & Margaret in the 1900 Perry co. Ky census with son Ira b. 1883. daugh Ida b. 1889 (married joe Hall 1907 in perry co Ky) daugh allis b. 1892, daugh Pearly b. 1897. I have been unable to find Wm & Margaret in any census or records since 1900. Any help anyone can give me tracing my grandfather or gg grandparents would be greatly appreciated.
