This Becker family originated in Kleinfischlingen, Germany, which prior to 1686 was under the auspices of Weingarten. Aroung 1790, George Jakob Becker moved to Boechingen. The family again moved in 1815 to Edenkoben. These villages are all within a few kilometers of one another. In 1852, Johann Heinrich and wife, Phillipina Frank, Becker emigrated to New York via Liverpool. From there they went to Philadelphia, then to Canton, Ohio, and onto Franklin Co., TN. I have researched the family back to the mid 1600's but have been unable to locate any information from the Weingarten area. Any information you might have is helpful. Am willing to share.
