Looking for the parents of William S. Mills b: 1817 Georgia (most likely Elbert Co., GA) who married Janette Crawford b: 1818 Scotland. I believe my William is from the William Mills and Nancy Brown Mills family who were married Jan 4, 1815 in Elbert Co., Ga. My William S. and Janette were found on the Abbeville Co., SC census for 1850 and lists his birthplace as Ga., then found him and Janette and children on the 1860 Elbert Co., Ga. census listed as a carpenter, he is also listed as William T. Mills on this census record, but by checking the handwriting of other names on this census page I have determined that this is just the way the enumerator made his "S". Wm. & Nancy Brown have a son listed on familysearch.org listed as William T. Mills b: 1817 Elbert Co., Ga. and it is my hope to prove that this is the same as my Wm. S. Any help GREATLY appreciated!
