Am trying to locate the marriage record of Katherine A. __?__ (maiden surname not known) to Louis/Lewis Van Sant. Katherine (or "Kate") was from Virginia (quite possibly from Northumberland County), and Louis/Lewis was from Pennsylvania. From 1870-forward, they are seen in the census for Washington, D.C. The 1900 census shows that Katherine was born Oct. 1841. She & husband Louis/Lewis had 5 children, the first of which was born around late 1864 or early 1865. The 1900 census says they had been married 36 years--but where? I am mainly trying to find Katherine's PARENTS names. Since they were married sometime around 1864, i'm assuming that Katherine was in Virginia prior to that, but i can't positively find her on the census records, and her death certificate only gives her parents birth place (Virginia), but NOT their names!
