I am looking for a Claud Louis Walker, Jr. who lived in California in 1968. He was the son of Claud Louis Walker. His two sisters were Linda Walker Smith and Judy Walker Rodgers. Claud was probably born in Karnack or Marshall, Texas. His father, Claud Louis Walker, Sr.(b. 21 Nov. 1914 d. 08 Jan. 1968) and sisters, Claudia Simmons & Maudie Corene Barnes, are all buried around that area. Grandparents were Claud Melton Walker (died in Marshall Texas, 1937) and Winnie Childress (died in Marshall Texas 10 Dec. 1996) Claud Melton Walker was the son of: Alexander Washington Walker and Hannah Gifford. A.W. is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Panola Co. Texas. Hannah is buried in Gilmer City Cemetery in Gilmer, Tx. A.W. Walker is descended from pioneers of Madison Co., Al James Reed Walker and Jane Davis. James Walker, Jr. and Mary "Polly" Davis James Walker, Sr. (believed to have fought in the Revolutionary War) wife: Margaret "Peggy" Reid (her father was James Reid of Pennsylvania.) There are believed to have been six Walker brothers who came over from Ireland, County Antrim around 1760. John, James, David, Elijah, Robert, and Huston. (All fought in the Continental Army under Commander George Washington) (Elijah and David were taken as POWs and died of starvation on the British ship, the New Jersey.) Any info on this family would be greatly appreciated.
