My birth was 9/14/39 in Pipestone, MN. Dr. McElmeel was the physician. I was adopted from the Children's Home Society in St. Paul when I was 3 1/2 yrs old and my adopted parents were Burnham & LaVonne Nemitz, Hayfield, MN. I was placed into adoption services the first week of my birth. I attempted to locate my real mother when I was 26 yrs old and a Ms Tomhave remembered me when we went to the Children's Home Society. I know nothing of my father nor was there any record. My mother did not marry until she was 50 yrs old and to my knowledge, she had no other children. My real mother was described as being tall with dark hair and a streak on one side. I have very thick, natural curly hair which was very blond as a child. Today it is brown. My mother was 23 yrs old when I was born. I think my grandmother had cancer but I do not know for sure.
I would like information for medical reasons as well as some connection to perhaps half siblings on my father's side.
The attached photo was when I was approximately 4 yrs old.
