I am a Bobbitt, and I think I need to contact any of the researchers who are working on the Taunton, Massachusetts line through Edward Bobbitt. I was doing some research on my own in English records in Ancestry.com and find the name was also spelled Bobbytt. (I think people tend to forget the old English styles).. I think that Edward Bobbitt of Taunton, Mass. has linkage to the Devon (Devonshire) Somerset, England area. There was a town there called Wells, where there were early Bobbitts / Babbyts, etc. Has anyone found any linkage to Edward of Taunton and those in England.? Thanks.
