Army 31 Mar 1861 joining CSA, served as Major, captured in 1863 imprisoned at Fort Warren (Boston) MA, was back in Princeton, AR 30 Dec 1864. He administrated fathers will finalized in Little Rock 24 Jul 1866.We have Maj. Harold Borland, in November 1867, on a stage from Princeton to Little Rock, 30 Jul 1869 visiting in Little Rock from Memphis, TN, 1870 census in Johnson County, AR, (USMA say he taught school and was with U.S. Internal Revenue Service) next married Johnson County's Kate Davis, 5 Oct 1871, in 1880 census without children with wife Kate, and nephew George Borland Moores, orphan of his half-sister, the poet, Fannie Green (Borland) Moores.Later he is again in Johnson County, AR as an engineer, supposedly married 26 Apr 1891 Janie Firth, who may have been the mother of the sons, she dead in 1901. He then on 3 Jan 1908 entered Confederate Home in Little Rock where he died in 1921.
