Josiah HARRELL, born 6 Jan 1820 in Arkansas Territory--PARENTS UNKNOWN. Josiah is my second great grandfather. We are trying to find information pertaining to his parents and siblings. We have reason to believe that he descends from the early N.Carolina HARRELL FAMILY. In 1839 he was probably living in Cincinnati, Washington Co., Arkansas. On the 2 Oct 1842 he married Sarah WAGNON, widow of John CURRIE, in Washington Co., Arkansas. Sarah, born 7 Dec 1819 in Crawford Co., Arkansas, was the daughter of Thomas WAGNON and Elizabeth RUDDELL. After Josiah and Sarah married, they settled in Paris, Lamar Co., Texas, remaining there until after 1870. In 1880 they appeared on the US Census in Gertrudes, Jack Co., Texas. Josiah HARRELL and Sarah WAGNON were the parents of eight children: Jane b 1843, Albert b 1847, Joel b 1850, William b 1852, Elijah b 1854, Ellen b 1857, Robert G. b 1859, and Thomas J. b 1862. We have several original records documenting this family to and including JOSIAH HARRELL. If anyone has information that could lead us to Josiah's siblings, parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents, etc., we would appreciate hearing from you. We are happy to share information with anyone who has the same ancestral lines.
