You are contacting the submitter of the query: My G-Grandfather, Franklin Pierce Anderson was born to William Hollopeter and Ida Mary Linder in 1874/75 in Tama County Iowa. William died young and Ida Mary remarried an Anderson, thus Frank taking the Anderson name. William was in the 1880 Census of Honey Creek Township, Iowa married to Ida, with Frank being 5 years old. I cannot find any death or birth information on this William.
William was in the 1860 Cencus as being 4 years old cof Honey Creek Township, Iowa Co, IA, in the household of Matthias and Fanny Hollopeter. Fanny seems to be Matthias' third wife. I have Matthias being born abt 1796 in PA, nothing on Fanny (born in OH) . William was born abt 1856 in IA, siblings are: Elizabeth b abt 1848 in OH, Catherine b abt 1852 in IA, Matthias b abt 1853 in IA, there may be more (see below).
1870 Honey Creek Township, Iowa Co, IA lists William, Mathias and Catherine living with Fanny, so Mathias must've died and Elizabeth married. Interestingly, there is a family of Hollipeters living very close (on the same census page) Head of House being Uriah, which is an older son of Mathias'.
1850 finds Mathias and Fanny in Marengo, Iowa Co, Iowa, with Jacob, Uriah, Ruth (all born PA), Sarah (born OH), Elizabeth (born OH) and Catherine, born IA. Also a Rob Elliott listed as 12 years old living in the same household. Another interesting fact, Simon Hollipeter lives close by, a brother to Mathias perhaps.
Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on my William.
