I am helping my 35 year old adopted daughter search for her Zuni birth family. Our daughter was born on April 15, 1970 by Caesarian section at the Bernalillo Co. Indian Hospital. Her family kept her for a few months before she was put into foster care in Gallup, NM. Her mother was very young and unmarried. The father was either Spanish or Navajo and in trouble with the law at the time. We have been told our daughter is one of the last Zuni babies given up for adoption.
