My great-grandparents are Etienne Gagne and Philomene Pageotte. I cannot find any records of them in the 1881 Canadian census. My grandmother is one of 10 living children they had, named Marie-Anne and was born in Ste. Julie, Megantic County, Quebec Province in 1891, so they lived in Canada at that time. I'm looking for any data on the family pre-1900. At the time of the US 1900 census they lived in Massachusetts but in the 1911 Canadian census they went back to Canada, and stayed there.
