They married on 10/13/1900 in Braxton Co., WV. There were two unknown deceased children. Living children were Denver, b. 6/8/1903 in WV, died 12/1974 in AZ., Georgia, b. 1908 in WV, died?, Junior, b. 9/2/1912 in WV, died 1/12/1972 in Seminole Co., FL, Glen b. 1913 in Randolph Co., WV, died in Ohio, Howard b. 2/16/1916 in Randolph Co., WV, died 12/18/1992 in Monroe Co., WV. Woodroe b. 1918 in Rowan Co., Ky, died? Junior, Glen and Howard were placed in the WV Children's Home on 10/19/1923. Junior was released and placed with Archibald (Archie) Anderson, Middleway, Jefferson Co., WV on 1/15/1924. The 1930 census listed Junior "Oxyer" age 17, as an orphan. Three years later he took the surname "Anderson" when he married Louise Grove. (Junior and Louise were my grandparents). Glen was released on 11/23/1924 and Howard was released on 4/19/1925, and both were placed with George Finley & Minnie Broyles, Red Sulpher, Monroe Co., WV. In the 1930 census Glen and Howard's surname was spelled "Oxley". It stated that they were adopted by the Broyles, but kept there surname. In the 1920 census Woodroe was listed living with Newt Eversole in Morehead, Rowan Co., KY, as his adopted son, also he was listed living with "Charley W. Oxley" in Farmers, Rowan Co., KY as his son. This can be very confusing trying to research when the children become separated from one another. If anyone has more info to add to this family I would be very appreciative.
