Is it possible that you might have encountered Bolings (Bollings) in either Haywood County, Tennessee or Adams County, Illinois? My great great grandfather, Louis (Lewis) Boling (Bolling?) settled in Adams County around 1830. He supposedly was born in Georgia (difficulty in finding this info) and his father may have been Thomas Bolling (A Thomas Bolling is listed in the Haywood County Census). I haven't been able to connect Lewis to the earlier Bollings. Any info would be fantastic.
