Info needed on Henry Thomas, Jr. of New York who married Mary Sophia Griswold of Connecticut. Henry Thomas formed a company with A.B. (Arthur Breese) Griswold in New Orleans, LA in around 1845 or so. They had the Company, Thomas,Griswold & Co. They manufactured swords mainly for the Confederate Troops during the Civil War. People tend to run the two names together, creating 'Thomas Griswold & CO.' but, that is incorrect. Both men used only their LAST names to create the company, ('Thomas,Griswold & Co.') Henry Thomas, Jr. is my father-in-law's GREAT Grandfather. Would like any info on Henry Thomas, Jr., or even Mary Sophia Griswold. A.B. Griswold was Mary's 6th cousin, and he went into business with Henry Thomas, Jr., her husband.
