I'm an adopted child searching for my birth parents.
I was born in Philadelphia, PA on 9/14/70 in the Catholic Social Services Hospital for Unwed Mothers, which is now closed. Supposedly my birth parents were students at the University of Pennsylvania, but I have not been able to confirm this. Another clue is that supposedly my birth father's last name is Biddle, but again I have not been able to confirm this.
After my birth I was kept in the hospital for approx. 2 months with a stomach disorder while I was awaiting adoption. I spent the first 5 years of my life in the greater Philadelphia area, until I moved to south Florida with my adoptive parents, who divorced around this time. I lived with my adoptive mother from this point on, and my father returned to Philadelphia.
Currently I reside in New York City where I am a musician and an arts professional. About ten years ago I began a search but frustated by endless red tape and lack of progress, I gave up.
I'd love to find my birth parents to better understand myself, my roots and history. Now that I am married and have a young infant daughter I'd like to know about my medical history as well.
