First, regarding the JEREMIAH DEADY from the Columbus, Ohio area (query posted Dec. 14, 2002), I found this line with lots of information in the "Lost and Found" section at Worldconnect at Rootsweb.com. One of Jeremiah's brothers is Edwin and their father is Edward Deady. The link is:
http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=deady&id=I00056
The easiest access to the "Lost and Found" I've found for this information is to Type "DEADY" in Surname and Type "Edwin" for Given. The first entry, click on his father Edward Deady/Dadey/Dady, and you will find all the information. (Note: Click on 'Decendency' at top of Edward Deady's information page. . .it is extensive!!!!)
As for me, I am researching Deady/Dady/Dadey in Ohio as well and am so far unsure if the above line links to mine. Most of the information I have brings our Deady's to the Clark County, Springfield, Ohio area around 1850. I currently need more information regarding PATRICK DEADY (b. abt 1790 d. in Harmony Township, Clark County) and/or his wife SARAH DEADY (listed in 1860 Clark County Census, age 90). From what area of Ireland they possibly immigrated from would be most helpful though any other tidbit you may have would be equally appreciated. Thank you.
Amanda Deady
