Need information about John Young 1857-1939, Married to Angeline (Barefield)Young. John was born in Mississippi or Alabama. Angeline was born in Choctaw County, Alabama. Raised on Tombigbee River.Both had been married before. Had children and lived in Hattiesburg, Mississippi off and on. They are in the 1930 Hattiesburg census living in Beat 3. John worked at the sawmill in Wiggins, Mississippi in 1913.At that time they lived in Bond, Mississippi. John and his family moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and lived in the Gulfport-Biloxi area during the late 1930s. John and Agenline died in Gulfport and are buried at the Evergreen cemetery.
Their son John Young was born in Bond on 21 July, 1913, and died in 1977 in a Gulfport/Biloxi hospital. John had a cousin, Boyd Young, who operated a store in Runnels Town for many years. Boyd and his wife are buried in a cemetery near Pedal, Mississippi.Some of the Barefields lived across the creek from Runnels Town.
