Madison is found in Grimes Co. Tx. 1870 & 1880. Known children born in TX are William b.1855, Robert b. 1857, Mary b. 1860, Kirby b. 1867(my grgfather). Their mother's name is unknown. Madison then married Jane Smith 1870 Grimes Co Tx. Children by that marriage Emma b. 1870, Dorcas b. 1872, G.W. b.1874, and J. W. 1877...wife on 1880 census is listed as M.V.
May be a connection with Seaborn J. Smith b. Tx 1848 d. 1888 and dtr Emma b. La. 1873 d. 1876. The are buried in the same family plot with Kirby in the Grove Hill Baptist Cem at Mansfield, DeSoto Parish, La..
