I have hit a wall!!! Garrett H. Fitzgerald died in Ft. Wallace, KS but, lived in Salina, IL. His wife Eliza claimed his estate of horses cows, pigs etc. in Salina, IL. If they were just visiting Ft. Wallace when he died where would his grave be? It is not in Ft. Wallace and I cannot find it in Salina, IL.? How could you find out if he was killed possibly by Indians or it was a natural death? ... My great great grandfather, Richard Daniel Savage, born Nova Scotia 1824, worked as a stevedore and cotton screwer in Apalachicola in the late 1840s and early 1850s.
