Searching for the father and ancestors of Adam Christophel b. 26 aug 1844 somewhere in the Rhineland Pfalz, probably Rohrbach. Mother was a widow by the 1860 Census in Cincinnati, OH. Adam m. Catherine Kuntz and had 8 children with her: John, George, Joseph, Charles, Peter Adam, Francis, Louise, and Kate. Adam was a cigar maker and lived in Cincinnati until his death at age 47 in 1892. I am searching for info on GG Grandmother, Marian Christophel b. abt 1800 in Bavaria, came to US> 1847 Le Havre to New Orleans, settling in Cincinnati OH around 1860. By this time, she was a widow.
