Searching for Wuerttemberg, Germany origin of my ggg grandfather, Johanes Friederich Kappes (or Kappus or Kappis). Name was changed to John Frederick Cavis in America. Probably left Wurttemberg about 1798 and arrived in Baltimore, via Amsterdam, in 1803. Settled in Carlisle, PA.
