Zillah was born in Duplin County North Carolina and her family moved to Cumberland County North Carolina in 1799. Hector and family moved to Graves County in about 1815. He was a farmer and of the Protestant faith. They had 10 children and Zillah died in 1857 and Hector in 1858.
