As of June 30th,  2012....If you are over the age of 25 and adopted out of Rhode Island, newly passed legislation now allows you to obtain a copy of your original birth certificate!!!
As a seasoned genealogist, I have helped several adoptees obtain their birth records and ultimately locate their birth parents.  The experiences have been most rewarding!   .</description>
