Searching for my fathers relatives, his name was Samuel L Light, he is on the 1900 washington county tn census. The way it is listed is Thos,father: Evia, mother: Sam'l son: b. Aug, 1886 or 1885. I believe 1886 is correct Aug, 7th. As he got older, he was a blacksmith by trade. Could have gotten married and even moved to Va. I don't know for sure.
