His mother was from Ohio and in 1923 James Henry went to Ohio searching for work and died in Toledo Ohio where a sister identified his body. He is in Narro county Texas in 1900. Hector McNeill and Zillah Housman McNeill are on the 1810 Muhlenberg County Kentucky census.
