I am trying to find information on Peter W. Bates and his wife, Hannah (Eberly) Bates, both born in York, PA. I would guess early 1800's. They had two sons that I know of, William E. Bates who married Millie Allen in Indiana and Niles Bates who married Missouri Roush, also in Indiana. William was born in Ohio in 1848, maybe Niles was also born in Ohio.
