According to notes left by a relative, Edward Wyatt married Frances Newton in Gloucester Co., Va., abt. 1705. As proof, he states that he found Edward in Gloucester in 1703 with no dower, and that a wife named Frances had joined him in dower by 1705. Apparently, my Fletchers came from England and it's been passed down that they were some of early VA colonists. My Fletchers crossed the James river into Gloucester, VA--Petsworth Parish District. Some of them moved to the Eastern Shore (Delmarva).
